Operations Associate
About Installio
Installio is helping UK households make the switch to cleaner, smarter home energy. We deliver high-quality solar, battery and heat pump installations, combining strong operational execution with rigorous technical standards and a great customer experience.
We’re growing quickly and looking for an Operations Associate to help coordinate installations, support customers, and keep projects moving smoothly from booking through to completion.
The role
As an Operations Associate, you’ll sit at the centre of our delivery team. You’ll help manage the end-to-end installation journey, coordinating customers, installers, scaffolders, suppliers and internal teams to make sure each project is delivered safely, efficiently and to Installio’s standards.
This is a hands-on role for someone highly organised, proactive and comfortable dealing with lots of moving parts. You don’t need to be a solar or heat pump expert already — we’ll give you the training and support to build strong technical and industry knowledge over time.
What you’ll do
Coordinate installations end to end — help manage the installation process from preparation through to completion, making sure customers, installers, scaffolders and suppliers are aligned.
Own day-to-day project management — track project status, identify blockers early, keep schedules moving, and ensure key information is captured accurately.
Communicate with customers — build strong rapport, keep customers informed, manage expectations clearly, and help resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Support installers and delivery partners — make sure installation teams have the information, materials and support they need to deliver high-quality work.
Develop technical knowledge — learn how domestic solar, battery and heat pump systems are designed and installed, so you can understand project requirements and explain key details clearly.
Help solve operational problems — spot recurring issues, suggest improvements, and work with the wider team to make our processes more scalable and reliable.
Work across the business — collaborate with sales, technical, customer support and leadership teams to improve the customer journey and operational performance.
Who you are
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
A clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Comfortable speaking with customers, suppliers and installation teams.
Proactive, curious and motivated to find and solve problems.
Able to stay calm and focused in a fast-moving environment.
Excited to learn about solar, batteries, heat pumps and the wider home energy market.
Practical and delivery-focused — you like getting things done properly.
Comfortable using software tools and keeping records accurate and up to date.
Desirable, but not essential
Experience in operations, project coordination, customer support, logistics or field services.
Experience in energy, renewables, construction, home improvements or installations.
Familiarity with solar PV, batteries, heat pumps, EV charging, smart tariffs or domestic retrofit.
If you don’t have renewables experience, that’s completely fine. What matters most is that you’re organised, proactive, customer-focused and keen to learn.
